Join the ranks of the Nameless and step aboard the Astral Express to follow the path the Aeon Akivili once tread. HoYoVerse’s Honkai: Star Rail begins on a space station where the main character, known as the Trailblazer, is woken during an invasion. Missing they’re memory, the Trailblazer is invited to join the crew of the Astral Express, where they may search for answers as they traverse different worlds. Each world is associated with a different god-like entity, or Aeon, and as the Trailblazer visits each world, they acquire new abilities related to that Aeon. This typically aids them in dealing with disasters caused by objects called “Stellarons”, also known as the Cancer of All Worlds. The Trailblazer carries one of these Stellarons inside themselves, and as they travel, they endeavor to learn more about it and solve the mystery of their missing past. As Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha game, players can roll on many of the characters they meet throughout their travels. As with Star Rail’s sister game Genshin Impact, these characters boast elemental abilities of varying types, each related to one of the game’s Aeons. Weapons and other power-up items are rolled on as well. Honkai: Star Rail’s gameplay includes repeatable fights required to obtain leveling materials as well as mini-games and regular events.
